Craig has been interested in technology ever since opening up his father's Apple II+ in primary school. He was also a promising chess player, violinist and pianist before deciding to focus on law.
Since then, Craig has found himself closing M&A deals, working on company listings/IPOs in the late 1990's, closing US flip ups and Series A and equity raisings in the early/mid 2000's, closing listed companies takeover and merger transactions and raising hundreds of millions of dollars of capital in the late 2000's, and more recently specialising in corporate M&A transactions for mid-market clients.
Craig is listed in the The Best Lawyers in Australia for Corporate Law for 2017, 2018 and 2019. He is also listed in Doyle's Guide for Intellectual Property and TMT Lawyers for 2018. He has also been "recommended" and "highly recommended" in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 for Corporate and M&A, and clients that were surveyed singled out Craig as "knowledgeable" and a "corporate governance specialist".
At home, he is best known for his ability to make up stories to keep his young boys enthralled way past their bed-times.
Jonathon is a keen commercial thinker with broad experience across both the private and public sectors. Jonathon has assisted clients through each stage of the 'business life-cycle' - from helping start-ups and setting up business structures through to negotiating exit strategies and commercial transactions.
Jonathon specialises in company disposals and share acquisitions, corporate and business structuring and advisory, intellectual property licensing and protection, and commercial property leasing and transactions.
When he is not working, Jonathon can be found spending time with his young family or navigating the fairways of Links Lady Bay Golf Club.
Taylor began at Motus Legal in 2015 and since then he has been intimately involved in many of the corporate transactions that Motus Legal has closed. Taylor has gained diverse experience in mergers and acquisitions, and played a key role in the Motus Legal team advising on a reverse take-over and backdoor listing to the ASX.
Taylor has worked on a range of private capital raisings (straight equity as well as hybrids such as convertible notes and preference shares), employee share schemes, shareholders agreements and other corporate governance matters for both proprietary and publicly listed companies.
Taylor has also developed a keen interest in the opportunities technology presents in the commercial sector, and has been closely following developments in fintech, data security and privacy law.
